Managing Electronic Waste – July 25

By July 25, 2025No Comments

Electronic waste (e-waste) is expected to hit 657,000 tonnes in Australia by 2030.  This not only poses a risk to health and the environment, but it challenges the sustainability efforts that we have available in the IT sector.

At Focus Networks we want to not only minimise our effect on the environment but also practice sustainability in the workplace.  From recycling our papers and plastic within the office to sourcing hardware designed to maximise lifecycles for our clients.  Our longstanding partnership with HP and their multiple recycling programs ensures that even our new purchases support our efforts against unnecessary waste.

We are proud to maintain our ISO-14001 Environmental Management Systems certification (ISO-14001) and put it into continual practice.  This includes training staff, educating clients and offering secure services to decommission client’s old hardware.
