The holiday break is not just a time to relax before a new year, it is a great time to begin preparing for the next. One of the key items to manage is updates to infrastructure for devices such as switches, physical servers and wireless access points. Focus Networks developed a schedule during the downtime in December and January to carefully conduct maintenance while our clients took well- earned breaks.
Annual maintenance allows the team to implement non-critical updates. Often these improve the functionality or reporting of the device. The team have time to assess the device and the effectiveness of the updates. Approximately 40 hours of time was utilised.
Despite maintenance for critical updates throughout the year, it is handy to use the holiday break. Focus Networks proactively install non-critical updates when businesses are closed or on skeleton staff.
