Post COVID we have seen an increasing amount of staffing problems in the IT sector. This has created problems for remote regions in the State to attract and retain IT staff. Factors include the cost of living, staff burnout and a lack of skilled workers. Focus Networks have been assisting regional Shires by providing an extension to their IT team. Works include remote helpdesk support, remote systems projects and the facilitation of onsite project work. This has allowed for seamless IT operations and continued uplift despite current staffing instabilities.
