Our largest laptop project in 2024, has just come to an end. The rollout of replacement laptops for a client was closely monitored and broken up into key stages being management, install and security.
The management portion involved dealing with suppliers, helping with procurement, documenting change control, client meetings and inventory.
Next was the actual install which started with application audits to confirm functionality, software inventory for license keys, Windows 11 compatibility, training material for staff, imaging, application installs and the rollout using pilot groups.
Finally the security components involved Azure Hybrid AD work, hard drive encryption, secure data erasure of old laptops and re-installing Windows on old laptops.
