Evolve Facility Management, a subsidiary of the Australian National Drag Racing Association Ltd (ANDRA) was announced as the new operator for Perth Motorplex. It commenced operations in February 2021. The appointment followed an extensive procurement process by venue owner VenuesWest.

Project Summary

A structured handover of IT from VenuesWest (State Government) onto Evolve Facility Management was required. An extended project involving the transfer of corporate data out of one domain and into another was completed. The decision was taken to implement the Managed Proactive Service.

The Strategy

Focus Networks planned a three month handover approach to minimise associated risks. This involved regular communication with the key stake holders. Three core components were closely managed for a smooth completion:

• Internet security and communications
• Virtual servers on the new domain
• Multi factor authentication with remote access

Proven Results

The move across to Focus Networks was extremely smooth, with three after hours scheduled outages completed to minimise the impact to users. Encountered IT issues were managed appropriately and resolved within agreed timeframes. The site was fully operational prior to the agreed go live date.
